Armand Biroonak, Special Assistant to the President

Prior to joining Echoing Green, Armand was a Research Assistant with the Democracy Collaborative at the University of Maryland, a group that promotes democratic, community wealth-building institutions, such as worker-owned companies. He also assisted political economist and author Dr. Gar Alperovitz with his soon to be published book discussing community and economic development in the U.S. In addition, Armand has economic policy experience with his work at the Campaign for America's Future, co-authoring numerous reports including "The Bridge to a New Economy: Worker Training Fills the Gap" published in early 2010.
Armand received his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, in History and Political Science from the George Washington University in 2008.
