Rebecca joined Echoing Green in August 2010, where she works on the Fellow and Alumni Programs team. Prior to Echoing Green, Rebecca worked extensively in events and fundraising, both at the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter Center for Architecture and at a boutique event planning firm in Washington, DC, with a special interest in producing environmentally-conscious events. She is a member of New York Women Social Entrepreneurs (NYWSE) and is excited to support both fellows and alumni and the inspiring work they do every day.

Rebecca received her B.A. in History with a minor in environmental studies from Georgetown University in 2008.

Why do you do what you do?

I see too many people giving up or not caring because they think “things will never change” or “it’s too difficult,” so they settle for things as they are, no matter how unhappy it makes them. I want to continue to push through these seemingly insurmountable obstacles in my own life and help people, like the Echoing Green fellows, do the same!
